The project of the New Teramo hospital is based on the evaluation of the pre-feasibility proposal for the construction of a new provincial hospital, necessary to ensure the provision of complex health services.
The current hospital structure of the capital consists of three lots respectively built in the 90's, 60's and 30's. Resolution No. 315 of 18 May 2018 "Seismic risk prevention interventions on the company hospital network and construction of the new hospital in Teramo" in which the structural, plant and functional age of the existing hospital facility and the consequent difficulty of adaptation is ascertained of the same, indicating as the only solution that of building a new hospital.
This hospital will have to comply with the new seismic regulations being classified as a "strategic" building.
The use of seismic isolators placed in the foundation, allows the building to resist well to the stresses given by any seismic shocks.
Furthermore, all the technical, architectural and plant engineering solutions adopted will be suitable for guaranteeing the highest level of performance, both structural and functional.
